My Past Does Not Define Me

SERIES:

Thanks to everyone who came out to the pool party last Sunday at the YMCA! We have officially kicked off our summer season at Beachside, and we’re so excited about next week’s surf camp. We have a tremendous opportunity to reach the kids in our community, as we get to spend every day with over 200 kids ages 6-18! That is a lot of little hearts to pour into, and we ask that you will join with us in praying for the following:

• Pray for the campers – that the gospel message will take root and that we will see kids give their lives to Jesus
• Pray for our leaders – that God will give them the discernment needed to lead these kids and guide the conversations they will have.
• Pray for the parents of campers – that through their kids’ excitement for camp and the interactions they have with us, they will see the love of Jesus
• Pray for safety – that all of our students, instructors, and volunteers will be safe from any accidents and injuries
• Pray for good weather – that despite the rain forecasted, we will have beautiful and clear days ahead
• Pray for physical strength – that God will give the energy and strength needed to make this camp an awesome outreach despite the exhaustion that comes with it!

We are so blessed to have our friends from First Baptist of Jackson Mississippi come down and serve alongside of us, along with a team from Florida State University. This event takes many hands and resources to pull off, and we couldn’t do it without people like them who sacrifice to help make this an incredible outreach event for the kids in our community. We’re so excited to welcome them back in town this weekend, so please say hello to these teams on Sunday and thank them for all they do.
