I can’t believe we’re already a week into December, and that Christmas is right around the corner! During this time of year, it’s always good to reflect on what God has done or is doing. I am overwhelmed by what He is doing in our church – not just in the incredible growth, but in the life of every one of you. This year we have seen over 100 people make a commitment to become a member at Beachside. On top of that growth, we have seen over 40 baptisms this year and around 25 people surrender their life to the Lord. Praise God! For the first time in the history of Beachside, we went on a global mission trip where over 30 people decided to spend 13 days of their summer to serve God. I get the privilege to see people step into our doors who haven’t attended any church in years, and as they leave the building, tears are in their eyes because they are finally back home in the body of Christ. The Lord has truly blessed our church!
Next Wednesday, December 11, we will have a business meeting for church members where we will vote on next year’s budget. The finance committee and I have been praying fervently over how to use the resources God has given our church. I want to personally thank each one of you who have given so generously because you believe in what God is doing at Beachside. God used your generosity in ways that created opportunities for others to hear the Word of God and be brought to saving faith. Other times your generosity created opportunities that allowed others to take the next steps in their spiritual journey. In next year’s budget, we have created a line item to allow us to begin exploring options on how to handle the growth we experience at Beachside. We don’t know what God has planned for the future of our church, but I believe there is wisdom in planning for future. As you know, God is using Beachside to impact our community and we need to make sure we are prepared for the harvest God brings. We love you, and we are grateful for God placing you in our lives!
