Be Quick to Listen
Sunday, August 30 Service – provided online due to coronavirus social distancing. Scripture is taken from Nehemiah 8:3. One of the hardest things in life is to listen well when we’re confronted with our own sins or failures. Many of us have found ourselves in sinful patterns at times and have sought to justify our sin.
This week Nehemiah challenges us to be people who are willing to listen to God’s Word no matter what area of our lives it confronts. God expects us to come into worship with a humble heart that is willing to listen. If we are honest, there are areas of our lives where we don’t want God to poke or prod. God calls His people to allow His Spirit to confront and sanctify even the darkest places.
