Our God Reigns – Part 2
I hope the first week of the Sovereignty of God series helped you step back from the chaos in the world and life to see that God is near. Not only is He near, but He is sovereign over every situation and every circumstance. It should be a great comfort to us that no matter what, the God who created us is still on the throne and able to work everything out for His glory and our good.
This week we will discuss the fact that our God reigns. While it’s something we often sing about in church, I want this aspect of God’s authority to change how we approach worship and life. Charles Swindoll said, “Satan has not filled you with a hatred towards God, but a forgetfulness of God.” When we forget the magnificence of our God, we tend to get distracted by trivial pursuits and waste the gift of life God has given us.
I hope that tomorrow you will leave church with a better picture of the supremacy of Christ and you will see Him more clearly, leading you to worship Him with your life.
