Comfort and Hope
In the book of Lamentations, which in many ways is such a sad book, we have the following magnificent verses: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. ‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘therefore I will hope in him’” (Lamentations 3:22–24).
In this time of uncertainty, suffering, and confusion, aren’t you glad to know that your hope is not in the material things of life, but in the Lord? Great is His faithfulness. For over 70 years, Beachside has repeatedly seen the faithful hand of God. While this is certainly a challenging time for us, we know that the Lord not only is with us, but is ahead of us. He will give all of the needed strength and wisdom as we humbly look to Him for His help. While our services will not meet during the month of April, please know that we love you and pray for you daily.
The 1st century church knew greater hardship than we are experiencing. Meditate on these words from the Apostle Paul to the Thessalonians. “Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word” (2 Thessalonians 2:16–17).
Warmly in Christ,
Pastor Khalil Ayoub
