The Heart of Generosity – Pt. 4
Sunday will be an awesome morning of worship and fellowship, so please do your best to be there as we welcome the missionaries from Kenya! At the beginning of both services, we will get a report on the latest updates from Tenwek Hospital and the projects we have worked on and supported. They were such a blessing to our mission team, and we want them to bless you also. After service they will be under a tent in the parking lot, so please take time to stop by and show them some Beachside love.
After the missionaries give their update, we will continue our series in 2 Corinthians. It has been refreshing for me to be challenged by Paul regarding the heart behind generosity. I often go through the motions and forget giving is an act of worship. It demonstrates my gratitude for all the blessings God has given me. This week Paul tells us we should be ready to give. As I was thinking about this, I wondered how often are we eager to be the hands and feet of Jesus through generosity. God has been eager to bless me with the gift of salvation and daily provisions in my life. Sometimes the best way we can show how loving our God is is by the act of kindness.
